Street Warriors registers 57 runs win over KCC Akhnoor, advances to next stage

JAMMU, June 19: Street Warriors registered a resounding win over Krishna Cricket Club (KCC), Akhnoor by 57 runs and advanced into next stage of the ongoing Summer Cup Akhnoor T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Akhnoor today.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Street Warriors set a huge target of 218 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sahil Mishra played a splendid inning of 60 runs in 44 balls, whereas Amit Sharma and Amit Rajput made 20 and 24 runs respectively.
From KCC side, Anil was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets, whereas Mallu scalped 2 wickets and Parveen took 1 wicket.
In the second inning, KCC Akhnoor failed to chase the target and were bundled out at 161 runs for all out in 16.2 overs. Sahil Soodan was the top scorer with 36 runs, Sahil Pawar made 34 runs and Kala contributed with 22 runs.
For Street Warriors side, Aman took 3 wickets, whereas Pankaj and Amit scalped 2 wickets each. JV, Amit Sharma and Deepak pocketed one wicket each.
For his match winning innings, Sahil Mishra of Street Warriors was declared as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Rajinder Sharma as umpires whileas Ajay Bhagat acted as scorer.
The next match of the tournament will be played tomorrow between KC Sports and Singh Challenger Akhnoor.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
