UDHAMPUR, Nov 20: One person died and two others were seriously injured when a private vehicle of Jio Telecommunications rolled down into a deep gorge at Jogan Nallah, Dubi Gali in Panchari area, this evening.
The accident took place when the Mahindra vehicle, bearing registration number JK12A-2665 and hired by Jio Telecommunications, was on its way from Dubi Gali to Damnot. Around four kilometers to Dubi Gali, driver lost control over the vehicle, which rolled down into deep gorge.
On being informed, a Police team from PP Damnot rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to PHC Mongri where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Rinku, resident of Mahanpur, district Kathua. The injured, identified as Altaf, son of Nazir Hussain of Rajouri and Pramu, son of Mangat Ram of Lalli, were referred to District Hospital Udhampur.
All the victims were working with Jio Telecommunications.
