JAMMU, Nov 25: A college going student today assailed another youth over a minor issue in Roop Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of police station, Janipur, and left him injured.
According to a police spokesperson, one Rahul Verma (25) son of Puran Chand of village Kangar Morh was on its way from Kangar Morh to Jammu on his bike when another youth identified as Pankaj Singh, son of Jaswant Singh, resident of Gandoh (Doda) suddenly came in front of the road.
On this, both engaged in a scuffle, in which Rahul Verma was seriously injured. He was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Janipur and the accused held.
