MENDHAR, Nov 23: One person sustained injuries when a marriage party was attacked by a group of alleged fundamentalists at Gursai, here today.
The incident took place when marriage party of groom Ali Asgar Shah, son of Maqsood Hussain Shah of Gursai, was on way back to home along with bride from Gohlad Mendhar.
On reaching at Gursai Nallah, the marriage party was intercepted by Muzaffar Hussain Shah of Gursai, who accused the groom for solemnizing marriage in the month of Muharram. After some verbal dual, Muzaffar Hussain and his accomplices started pelting stones on the marriage party. In the melee, one person, namely Amjad Hussain, son of Ghulam Shah of Gohlad, sustained injuries.
Later, acting on the on the complaint, Police Station Gursai registered a case against Muzaffar Hussain and his 16 accomplices.
