RAJOURI, June 5: A young motorcyclist was injured in a road accident near Chingus Police Post along Jammu- Rajouri highway on Thursday.
According to reports, the accident involved a motorcycle and a Maruti D’zire car. The injured person has been identified as Sagar Tayal (20), son of Subash Chander, a resident of Dassal, Rajouri.
Sources said that the D’zire car allegedly hit the motorcycle bearing registration No JK11F-3087 and fled the spot immediately after the collision. The motorcyclist sustained injuries in the accident and was shifted for medical treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the `hit and run’ case and efforts are underway to trace the vehicle involved in the accident and arrest its driver.
