REASI, Oct 4: Police today arrested a man and recovered 130 poly pouches of J&K Excise liquor from his possession in Katra.
According to a police spokesperson, acting on a specific input a police team headed by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO, police station Katra under the supervision of Dr Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Additional SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar SSP Reasi, laid a special naka at Railway Chowk Katra.
During checking, the police intercepted one person namely Pawan Kumar son of Ram Saran, a resident of Seela, Reasi, who was going on his ‘Maruti Zen’ car bearing registration No JK14-7184, and recovered 130 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K excise liquor from his possession.
The accused person has been arrested and his vehicle seized. In this connection, a case FIR No 162/2015 U/S 48-A Act, 188/RPC stands registered at police station Katra and investigation of the case is in progress.
