JAMMU, Oct 4: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-of-War Association under the presidentship of Hardeep Singh Anand selected teams to participate in the 28th Junior Women Under-19 and 28th Senior Women National Tug of War Championships, being held from October 8 to 11, 2015 at Zilha Kirda Sankul Stadium, Washim in Maharashtra.
The teams were selected by Mr Anand alongwith Ravinder Singh Sasan, general secretary, Kuldeep Gupta, treasurer J&K Olympic Association and Ajay Peshin, under the supervision of J&K State Sports Council Screening Committee headed by Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu at Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar, here.
The selected players for the 28th Junior Women Under-19 Championship include Priyanka Sharma, Swati, Shriya, Samiksha, Gurleen Kour, Diksha Bhat, Palvi, Sakshi and Shalu Devi.
The selected players for the 28th Senior Women Championship include Anam Khan, Ankee, Azra Hamid, Sapna, Parveen Rehman, Insha Nazir, Suman Sharma and Vaishali Sharma.
Gorav Dubey, Ankita and Sourabh will be accompanying as coach and manager of the selected teams.
Mr Anand distributed kits sponsored by Hotel Asia Jammu Tawi, among the players before their departure.
