JAMMU, Dec 26: Janipur police today apprehended one person with 107 grams of heroin like substance.
“During patrolling/checking duty in Lower Roop Nagar area, a police party of police station Janipur headed by PSI Rashid Ali intercepted a person namely Aqib Sofi son of Javid Sofi of Ban Bazaar, Shopian (at present living in Belicharana, Jammu) after he turned suspicious,” a police official said.
He said that during search of the man, 107 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession. In this connection, a case FIR number 134/2021 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at police station Janipur and further investigation started, the official added.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of Inspector Ajaz Haider, SHO police station Janipur.
