JAMMU, Feb 25: One person was held with 257 grams of charas by Panjtirthi police.
According to the reports, a police team of police station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Ajit Singh and assisted by Incharge police post Panjtirthi Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh while on naka duty at Circular Road rounded up a suspect namely Wazeer Ahmed son of Ahmed Din Shan of Gool (district Ramban) on a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK01Q-1290.
On search of the accused, 257 grams of charas was recovered from his illegal possession. In this connection, a case FIR number 30/2021 under Sections 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at police station Pacca Danga and the accused got arrested.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
