One held with stolen money, articles

JAMMU, July 28: Gangyal police today arrested a thief and arrested stolen cash and other articles from his possession.
According to a police spokesman, one Onkar Singh, Manager of Dairy India, Gangyal lodged a complaint with Gangyal police that someone trespassed the compound of their factory and after breaking the almirah stole a cash amount of Rs 188200, a mobile and some other articles.
“Acting on the complaint, police interrogated a suspect namely Sunny Raina son of Vinod Krishan Raina, resident of Thokrie, district Kishtwar, who is also an employee of the said factory”, the spokesman said, adding after through questioning, the suspect broke down and admitted the crime.
He said that on his disclosure, police recovered stolen money, mobile phone and other articles. “Besides, one screw driver, one wire cutter and one blade, which the accused used to commit the offence were also recovered from his possession”, he said, adding the accused was also arrested and further investigation is in progress.
The arrest was made by a police team led by Inspector Aejaz Wani, SHO Gangyal, under the supervision of SDPO South, Sachin Gupta and SP South, Shehzad Slaria.
