SRINAGAR, Mar 14 : National Investigation Agency (NIA) this morning conducted fresh raids in Pattan and Salsooa areas of Baramulla district and arrested one person in connection with terror funding.
The NIA sleuths accompanied by police and paramilitary CRPF arrived at around 10 am today and conducted searches of house belonging to Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Palpora Pattan and detained him.
The NIA raided another house of Habib Ullah Bhat son of late Abdul Aziz Bhat resident of Saloosa Mughalpora Kreeri and seized his cell phone and other documents.
The NIA arrested the house owner Ghulam Mohammad Mir allegedly in connection with “terror funding” case.
However, it was not immediately known regarding which case the national agency has conducted raids. The NIA has conducted multiple raids mainly in Pulwama district in last two month regarding Lethpora attack and Ban Toll Plaza encounter.
Meanwhile, suspended Jammu and Kashmir Police officer Davinder Singh, who was arrested for ferrying two terrorists, is being brought to Delhi for questioning in connection with an alleged plot to carrying out “targeted killings” of influential political and judicial figures in Delhi and neighbouring states in January, police said in New Delhi here today .
Earlier, he was interrogated by Jammu and Kashmir Police and the NIA, they said.
“To find out about plans to carry out any terror activity in the national capital, he is being brought here on a production warrant by the Delhi Police Special Cell for interrogation in this regard,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah said.
Davinder Singh, who was posted as Deputy Superintendent of police at the Srinagar airport, was arrested in January along with top commander of Lashker-e-Toiba Naveed Babu and Altaf of Hizbul Mujahideen in Kulgam district.
