One held with 20 grams of heroin

JAMMU, Nov 20: A man was arrested today from Nanak Nagar area of city outskirts for allegedly possessing 20 grams of heroin.
During naka checking, a police team from police station Gandhi Nagar stopped a car at Khalsa Chowk, Nanak Nagar and recovered 20 grams of heroin from the driver of the vehicle, a police officer said.
“The accused has been identified as Ranjit Choudhary, son of Jasbir Choudhary, a resident of Model Town in Gangyal area of Jammu, he said, adding, he was arrested under various sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and a probe is on.
The arrest and recovery was made by a police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, under the close supervision of Sachin Gupta, SDPO City South and Shazaad Salaria, SP City South.
