POONCH, Jan 10: One person was electrocuted while two others were seriously injured after they were traped in the high tension wire in Mandi area today.
A police spokesman said that one Sarfaraz Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz (22yrs), resident of Arai, Mandi was caught by overhead high tension wire when he was binding iron bars at a rooftop while two others namely- Sarfaraz, son of Abdul Ghani and Farooq Ahmed son of Maqsood were severely injured in the same incident.
All the three persons were working as Mason/labourers on the shop of one Chaman Lal when this incident happened. The electric shock was so severe that none of the onlookers were able to retrieve Sarfraz which resulted in his onspot death.The other two were shifted to DH Poonch with burn injuries and are currently under treatment.Police has taken cognizance of the matter and further investigation was going on.
