JAMMU, Nov 10: One person died while as three others injured in separate road accidents in Jammu District, Police said today.
They said one Krishnawanti (94) wife of late Shiv Ram Sharma of Lower Gadigarh, Jammu, was hit by a motorcycle at Lower Gadigarh on November 2nd, 2023.
“She was taken to Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, the same day,” police said, adding that the elderly woman died on way to Jammu from Amritsar today.
The body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu for conducting the post-mortem while as a case under relevant sections of the law stands registered at concerned police station.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured in separate road accidents in the District today.
One Mangat Ram (24) son of Mela Ram of Jourian suffered injuries after the motorcycle he was riding on slipped off the road at Jourian.
At Khour, one Sahil Choudhary (20) son of Manjeet Singh was hit by a motorcycle, resulting in injuries to the youth.
A car hit a scooty at Nagrota Bye Pass, resulting in injuries to a transgender, Heena (23) daughter of Mohammad Shafiq of Sidhra.
All the injured have been hospitalised while as cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and further investigations taken up.
