UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: One person died and another injured when a Tata Safari slipped into deep gorge on the National Highway near Taliwari Udhampur.
The deceased has been identified as Babu Singh Chib of Paloura Jammu. The injured, namely Rakesh Kumar of Subash Nagar, Jammu has been shifted to hospital with grievous injuries.
The duo was on way to Srinagar from Jammu when the Tata Safari rolled down into deep gorge near Taliwari. In the accident, Babu Singh received a severe head injury and he reportedly died on the spot.
Meanwhile, Police recovered body of a man from Pull Madha, Chenani under mysterious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Rajender Kumar son of Munshi Ram of Kosar. Police shifted the body to Sub District Hospital Chenani for postmortem and registered a case under Section174 RPC for further investigation.
