RAMBAN, July 12: One person was killed while one another injured when the truck they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge at Shalgadi near Chamalwas, a police official said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Asadullah Shah, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah, a resident of Fruit mandi Parimpora Srinagar, while the injured was identified as Layakat Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman.
The injured was shifted to SDH Banihal, where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
