UDHAMPUR, Dec 9: One person died and six others were injured in separate road accidents in Udhampur district today.
A motorcyclist died while the pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their bike JK20-0041, was hit by an unknown vehicle near Kali Mata Temple Jakhani. The deceased was identified as Kuldeep Kumar (18) son of Daya Karan of Sudhmhadev while identity of the injured was established as Rajesh Kumar (22) son of Rollu Ram of Latti. He is undergoing treatment at District Hospital Udhampur.
In a separate road accident, three persons were injured in a collision of scooter KL07G-4896 with a Swift car on the National Highway, near Birma Bridge.
Police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured were identified as Sunil Kumar (17) son of Sat Pal, Bobi (18) son of Kartaru and Bishan Chand (25) son of Chunni Lal. All are resident of village Magani in district Udhampur. Doctors referred Bishan to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious injuries.
One Pedestrian who was walking at road side at Gole Market Udhampur. Local people took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured person identified as Sanjay Kumar (25) son of Isher Dass of Chenani, was hit by a motorcycle while walking on the roadside at Gole Market Udhampur while another pedestrian, identified as Satish (60) of Udhampur was hit by a vehicle near Krishana Palace Udhampur.
