One dies, 2 serious due to asphyxiation

UDHAMPUR, Feb 12: A youth died and his two associates fell serious due to asphyxiation when they went for sleep while keeping an earthen coal stove burning in their room at Barian in Udhampur town.

The deceased was identified as Rakesh Singh (18), son of Romesh Singh. Condition of other two namely Ashok Kumar (29), son of Krishan Singh and Joginder Singh (25) son of Ratan Chand, was stated to be critical and they were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
All the three are resident of village Styalta and were staying at Barian in a rented room. They were running a make shift dhaba and according to the reports, coal stove was being used for boiling potatoes.
Some locals noticed them lying unconscious condition in their room early this morning and rushed the trio to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared Rakesh Singh as brought dead . Ashok Kumar and Joginder Singh were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition.
