RAJOURI, Oct 24: One person was crushed to death by Army vehicle while two persons including an AEE of PMGSY were in injured in a car accident in Rajouri area today.
A police spokesman said that one Ran Bahadur Gorkha, son of Bhim Bahadur, resident of Nepal and presently working in a local hotel at Rajouri was crushed to death by an Army unit vehicle, located in Palma area. The incident took place at around 5.30 pm when Gorkha was going on a bike in Jawahar Nagar area. Near Patrol Pump, an Army vehicle hit the bike killing the rider on the spot. The driver fled the spot along with vehicle. The body was removed to Rajouri Hospital by police. A case was registered in this connection.
Meanwhile, a car rolled down the road near Tandwal in Rajouri causing multiple injuries to AEE Akhtar Parvez of Fatehpur Rajouri and JE Ghulam Rasool Shah from Banihal. They were posted in PMGSY at Rajouri. Both have been admitted to District Hospital, Rajouri.
