One dies, 149 test +ve in J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Aug 4: One person died of COVID-19 and 100 tested positive in Kashmir while 49 fresh cases were reported in Jammu region and 20 in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Of 49 cases in Jammu region, 12 were reported in Jammu district, eight Doda, seven each in Udhampur and Rajouri, six Reasi, four Kishtwar, two each in Poonch and Ramban and one in Kathua district. No new cases were recorded in Samba district.
Forty three persons today recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,21,996 Corona cases including 526 active positives, 1,19,323 recoveries and 2147 deaths.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported 20 new COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
Ladakh’s Corona count now stood at 20365. There are 71 active positives, 20087 recoveries and 207 casualties—149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 100 fresh cases of COVID-19 while one person died at SMHS hospital.
Those who tested positive in J&K include 34 from Srinagar, 17 from Baramulla, 7 from Budgam, 5 from Pulwama, 3 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 17 from Bandipora, 12 from Ganderbal and 3 from Kulgam.
As per officials figures, 71,494 positive cases including 833 deaths and 70,330 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,685 including 282 deaths and 23,257 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,924 including 22,645 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,201 including 14,958 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,089 including 165 deaths and 13,895 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,332 including 16,089 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,491 cases including 9,365 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,945 including 9,801 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,272 including 11,131 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,585 including 5,521 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 200,018 including 196,992 recoveries and 2,237 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,314 including 788 from Kashmir division.
With 127 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 316,315 which is 98.22 percent of the total cases.
