One dies, 105 test +ve in J&K; 28 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Dec 20: One person died of COVID-19 and 78 tested positive in Kashmir valley today while 27 new cases were reported in Jammu division and 28 in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Among 27 cases in Jammu region, 19 alone were recorded in Jammu district, three in Rajouri, two Doda and one each in Kishtwar, Poonch and Reasi districts.
Thirty two persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases in Jammu region to 336.
Among 28 fresh COVID positive cases in the Union Territory of Ladakh, 19 were reported from Leh district and nine in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 188 active positive cases including 158 in Leh and 30 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 78 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 31 from Srinagar, 6 from Baramulla, 10 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 5 from Kupwara, 3 from Anantnag, 5 from Bandipora and 16 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 214,065 including 210,719 recoveries and 2,319 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,363 including 1,027 from Kashmir division.
With 192 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 334,056 which is 98.27 percent of the total cases.
