SRINAGAR, Feb 9: A child died while five others were injured in different road accidents in the Valley today.
A Police spokesman said in Sopore area of Baramulla district, a Tractor hit a child, Azhar Ahmad at Janwera area. He was then brought to the hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
“In another accident, an unknown Tipper collided with a Tractor at Sangrama area of Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to two persons Shahid Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Nowpora Jageer and Mudasir Mushtaq Wani, a resident of Chardkote, who were boarding the Tractor. Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment,” he said
“In Kupwara district, a Tractor hit and injured a pedestrian, Abdul Rahim Noda, a resident of Lalpora at Main Bazar Lalpora. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sogam for treatment. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard,” he added.
He further added that in Ganderbal district, a Santro car collided with a motorcycle driven by Mubashir Bashir, a resident of Serch, Ganderbal at Dal School Nuner, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion rider. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment where from they were shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.
