JAMMU, May 19: A 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide while another girl made an abortive attempt on her life in separate incidents in Talab Tillo area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, a girl identified as Rajni Devi (17) of Sudhmahadev, presently residing and working as a mate in the house of one Manish Kumar son of Bhola Nath of Manorma Vihar (Talab Tillo) was found hanging with the hook of a ceiling fan at her working place.
On getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for post mortem.
Meanwhile, another girl identified as Diksha Bhat (17) son of VK Bhat, a resident of Amar Colony (Talab Tillo), also made an abortive attempt on her life by hanging herself at her residence. She was also shifted to GMCH, where her condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
In both case, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
