SAMBA, June 30: As a part of continuous drive against the menace of the drugs and distillation/sale of illicit liquor launched by District Police Samba arrested one person and seized 35 nips of J&K Excise from his possession.
Police said on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Anil Magotra a police party of Police Station Samba under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Samba Tanveer Ahmed and I/C SHO Samba, SI Imran Khan in close coordination with DSB team Samba (who had generated fruitful intelligence) intercepted one person namely Ramesh Kumar S/O Prem Chand R/O Arazi Samba at Shamshan Ghat Samba and effected the recovery of 35 Nips of J&K Excise from his possession.
A case FIR No. 136/17 U/S 48-f Excise Act stands registered at P/S Samba against the said accused and investigation is taken up.
