One arrested with illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Feb 12: Kanachack police arrested a motorcyclist and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police recovered 44 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the rider.
The accused has been identified as Devinder Singh, son of Rattan Singh, a resident of Chatha Gujra, Gajansoo.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native area for selling among the people to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 19/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachack Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Neeraj Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
