JAMMU, Feb 7: One person was apprehended today by Satwari police along with a heroin like substance (chitta) and a cash of Rs 20,500.
“During a surprise naka at Bhour Camp, Ward No 2, police signaled one person to stop for police checking. On seeing the police, the man tried to flee away from the spot, but alert police apprehended him”, a police official said.
He said on personal search of the man, the police party recovered 17 grams of heroin (chitta) like substance and a cash amount of Rs 20,500 from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No 27/2018 under relevant Sections of law was registered at police station Satwari and further investigation of the case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by SHO, police station Satwari, Inspector Manjeet Singh, under the supervision of SDPO, City South, Rafiq Manhas and SP, City South, Sandeep Choudhary.
