Omar visits Sona Bab’s residence, pays tribute to revered Peer

SRINAGAR, Jan 13: Natio-nal Conference Working President Omar Abdullah today visited the residence of revered Peer, Khwaja Sonaullah popularly known as ‘Sona Bab’ at Magam and expressed profound grief and sorrow over his demise.
Paying glowing tributes to the revered Peer, Omar Abdullah said his piety and spirituality attracted thousands of devout followers towards him.
The NC Working President met Sona Bab’s son and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to him and his family. He was accompanied by NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, NC Provincial Secretary Advocate Showkat Ahmed Mir and Senior NC Leader Professor Abdul Majeed Mattoo.
“Sona Bab’s legacy is that of selfless devotion and the unconditional love of the Almighty. Thousands of devout followers will testify about his empathy and affection and in his demise we have lost an enlightened and compassionate soul. Kashmir is a land of sufism and our history and legacy of spirituality and religious enlightenment has been immortalized by figures such as Sona Bab”, Omar Abdullah said.
NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar also paid glowing tributes to the late revered Peer and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
