Omar hints at BJP’s uneasiness over outcome of UP polls

SRINAGAR: Hinting that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was feeling uneasy about the outcome of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP), former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah asked why did Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaign in his constituency for two days.

“Two days of campaigning in his own constituency. Should we be reading more in to this than just the PM enjoying being on the campaign trail,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of main opposition National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

Meanwhile, in an apparent jibe to Delhi police for prohibiting items, like laptops, eatables, umbrellas, in Lodi garden in the national capital, Mr Abdullah said they should just stop people from entering the garden at all, problem solved. (AGENCIES)
