SRINAGAR, July 23:
Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today advocated ‘no-work-no-pay’ rule for lawmakers in the country if there is no Question Hour and less than two hours of regular business.
“If Parliament/Assembly don’t have Question Hour and at least 2 hours of regular business, no salary and allowances should be paid for that day,” Omar wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
The working president of opposition National Conference was apparently referring to the logjam in the Parliament over the issue of corruption. (PTI)
