JAMMU, Jan 16: An old woman today burnt to death at her residence in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
“Surjeet Kour (about 60-65 years old) wife of late Attar Singh and resident of Old Agra Chak (RS Pura) burnt completely at her residence due to unknown cause,” Police sources said.
They said the woman with severe burn injuries were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she passed away at about 2:55 PM today. “The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while RS Pura police had taken cognizance of the matter,” sources added.
