JAMMU, Feb 4: An old man was today crushed to death by a tipper in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Preet Singh (80) son of Laxman Singh, resident of Magal (Bishnah) was crushed to death under the rear tyres of a tipper bearing registration number JK21-4620 when the driver was reversing the vehicle.
He said after postmortem at Sub District Hospital Bishnah, the body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case FIR No 12/2019 under Sections 279,304-A was registered against the accused tipper driver, who was at large.
