RAMBAN, Mar 5: Police here today booked an Over Ground Worker (OGW) under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Jammu.

Police sources informed that taking strong action against anti-national activities, J&K Police in Ramban, booked one OGW Manzoor Ahmed, alias Furqan, son of Ghulam Mohd Naik, resident of Dalwah, Tehsil Gool, District Ramban under PSA.
They said the OGW was involved in anti-national and anti-social activities in Gool and adjoining areas. Necessary sanction was obtained under Section 8 of the PSA 1978 vide order dated 04.08. 2024.
The OGW was absconding and evading arrest and he was also avoiding the execution of PSA warrant. A special police team was constituted which after hectic efforts executed the PSA warrant and detained the OGW under PSA and lodged him in District Jail Jammu.
