OBCs want Modi Govt to provide justice in J&K

JAMMU, Aug 11: State unit of All India Backward Classes Union- Social has urged upon the national BJP president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide justice to the members of this community in the J&K State.
In a meeting of the members of the organization held here today under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik, the speakers said that OBC members have high hopes from the BJP leadership and the two BJP MPs from Jammu region Dr Jitendra Singh ( Union Minister) and Jugal Kishore Sharma. Both of them during election campaign had assured them to raise issue of 27 % reservation for OBCs in the Lok Sabha but nothing has happened so far. The community is closely watching their leaders and it is hoped that they would strongly project this issue.
The OBCs in J&K are struggling for implementation of Mandal Commission Report. They were denied justice by the respective Governments. Now it is hoped that BJP leadership would help them in providing justice. The BJP leadership should raise this issue in the Parliament/ legislature, they maintained.
Prominent among others present included Swarn Singh, Sandokh Chand, Rajinder Singh, Raj Kumar, Prof Kali Dass, Abdul Rashid Malik and Master Sain Dass.
