JAMMU, Dec 24: A protest of OBC Adhikar Tiranga Yatra was held at Bhain-Bajalta in Nagrota near here under the leadership of Baldev Sumbria, leader of OBC communities.
Manohar Lal Tidyal, Kasturi Lal Basotra and Arjit Kumar were also present in the protest.
The protesters demanded 27 per cent reservation in J&K Government jobs and said that same has not been implemented in J&K even after Supreme Court judgment.
They also demanded 27 per cent reservation in Rural and Urban Local Bodies and condemned the S.O 537 of Social Welfare Department issued on the recommendations of Justice G.D Sharma Commission. Bansi Lal Choudhary, convener OBC Mahasabha and others also spoke on the occasion.
