JAMMU, Feb 26: OBC Department of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has alleged that OBC members were being denied full benefits of reservation by the present Government.
In a press statement issued here today, Suresh Kumar Dogra, Chairman OBC Department of JKPCC said that the Modi led Central Government was continously in process of befooling the OBC people of J&K.
He said from the day of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in J&K, the Home Minister of India Amit Shah had openly declared in the Parliament of India that OBC population shall be benefited hugely by it. Dogra added that after the abrogation of the said Articles, Union Minister Dr Jatinder Singh also spoke many times on the rights of the OBCs, but it all turned hollow.
Dogra also said that the recent visit of Chairman, National Commission for Backward Classes Bhagwan Lal was like a `tourist visit’ because he declared nothing for OBC people. Two days visit of Vice Chairman NCBC, Dr Lokesh Prajapati promised that OBCs of J&K shall definitely be given their due and legal rights but now after 6 months nothing was seen on the ground. He alleged that Modi Govt was only befooling the OBC people.
