JAMMU, Mar 15: Savitri Devi, mother of veteran journalist and former Dy Director Information, O P Sharma, passed away here early this morning after a prolonged illness.
The cremation was held in the evening at Jogi Gate Jammu. A large number of people from all walks of life attended the cremation and personally offered their heartfelt condolences to O P Sharma.
Meanwhile, journalistic fraternity and Information Department veterans held separate condolence meetings and expressed their sympathies with O P Sharma and other members of the bereaved family. They also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
