JAMMU, June 1: O P Mengi, Retd Superintending Engineer expired today at his residence. He was born in 1934 at Reasi. He was first civil engineer from Reasi. He worked as Executive Engineer in JKPCC, R&B, JDA and Vigilance.
As Superintending Engineer in Doda,Udhampur, Rajouri & Poonch. One of his initial assignments as Assistant Engineer was construction of MA stadium. After retirement he also served twice as member J&K State Services Recruitment Board.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons.His cremation will take place tomorrow (June 2) at Shastri Nagar cremation ground at 10.30 am.
