JAMMU, Sept 19: An eye check up camp was held today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Miran Sahib in which 400 people and children were examined by a team of doctors.
The camp was organized by New Young Blood Organisation (NYBO) led by Ashok Verma.
Out of 400 people 100 were advised laser operation and they will be charged half rates for the same. The NYBO also offered financial assistance to those who can’t even afford to pay the half rate for the operation.
The patients were examined by a team of ophthalmologists free of cost. The NYBO representatives including its vice president Manohar Lal Saraf, and chief advisor Parshotam Kumar Baru asked the people to come forward for social cause. School Principal Janak Raj Sapolia along with other members of the staff Paplesh Sharma, Raj Kumar and Manoj Kumar were also present on the occasion.
