Nutan is BOSE chairman

JAMMU, Oct 22:  Prof Nutan K Resutra has been appointed as new Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education (JK BOSE).
The appointment was made following his selection by a Government appointed Search Committee that conducted interviews for the position,  which  was lying   vacant for the last more than six months.
According to SRO 452, issued today by the Government, Dr Nutan K Resutra has been  appointed as Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education for a period of two years.
Prof Nutan is presently working as Principal of Government Gandhi Memorial Science College Jammu. Earlier, he has served as Principal of Government Degree College Udhampur, GDC Rajouri, Nowshera and also as Special Assistant to Harshdev Singh, then Minister for Education in Mufti Sayeed led Coalition Government.
Even as the Search Committee also conducted interviews for the post of Secretary, BOSE, decision on  appointment of suitable candidate for this position is learnt to have been deferred by the Government.
Pertinent to mention here that Dr Renu Goswami, who was Secretary BOSE and also working as officiating Chairman, has been repatriated to her parent  department, the Higher Education  Department.
Talking to the Excelsior,  Prof Nutan said that  to make  functioning of  BOSE more student friendly with the help of  IT reforms and curriculum revision for inclusion of local culture and history are among his priorities as the Chairman.
“The task may be Herculean  but we will definitely  achieve it with the cooperation of  people concerned,” he added.
