JAMMU, Dec 9: Demanding high level enquiry into recent appointments made in the Jammu University, NSUI today warned agitation if the ongoing selection process for various posts is not deferred immediately.
“Despite knowing the fact that his tenure has expired and an order regarding the same has already been communicated, the outgoing Vice-Chancellor is conducting the interviews for different posts in the university, which is not only morally wrong but illegal also,” said NSUI State President, Sunny Parihar, while addressing a press conference, here today.
He also alleged that upcoming interview for the post of Campuses Development Officer has been fixed for a blue eyed officer in the university, who was engaged as contractual employee on a Gazetted post without any advertisement or following any selection process.
The NSUI leader appealed the Lieutenant Governor to immediately intervene into the matter and issue necessary directions to the university authorities so that wrong could be stopped.
He also warned that if the ongoing selection procedure is not deferred within next 24 hours, NSUI will launch massive agitation.
Among others, who were present in the press conference, included Choudhary Irshad, Sorab Verma, Nipun Gandhi, Manas Gandhi, Harsh, Yasir, Kashiff, Anuj and Tmnna Khan.
