NSUI submits memorandum of demands to JU VC

Jammu, Feb 5: A delegation of National Students’ Union of India ( NSUI ) today called on vice chancellor Prof. R.D Sharma.
The delegation, led by Kamal Mangotra, state general secretary (NSUI, J&K), presented a memorandum of demands highlighting various issues relating to welfare of students. In memorandum NSUI demands that the Central library should be extended and one more reading block for the library to be constructed with Modern facilities. Suggesting that existing building of central library has examination halls in it which should be converted into reading rooms, NSUI also demands that a surfing room should be constructed which will have the wifi facility where the students can surf internet to update their knowledge. NSUI also demands that the study center which is located at Gumat (Raghunath Bazar) should be reopened for access of students. This will help in handling a huge rush of Jammu city students and moreover the space which is in possession of the university can be fruitfully utilized.
Beside these demands, NSUI also demands that adequate number of dustbins should be installed in the campus. The Vice Chancellor gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured a positive consideration to all the demands within short period of time. The deputation comprised of Ajay Kumar national delegate, Sehdev Singh JU vice president, Manjeet Singh, Rupali, Manpreet, Rahul, Sanjeev Mathur and many others.
