Addressing a press conference, Vishal Kotwal stated that  the officer in charge, who is a civil servant,  must have to respect the national anthem  because it is a fundamental duty of every citizen of India to respect  the national anthem.
“When the National Anthem was being played in HSS Kishtwar,  the officer instead of giving respect to national anthem walked away in a disrespectful manner. Due to this  clashes erupted among the various students organizations,” he said.
The NSUI leader alleged that the Police administration,  instead of calming down the students,  terribly beat  them. “Chenab valley is a sensitive area and such happens due to negligence of the administration and this is a total failure of the  present BJP-PDP Government,” he added .
The NSUI leader condemned  the administration for not looking in to the matter and warned Government to take strong action against the said officer.
