JAMMU, Apr 21: NSUI activists and students of MAM College today held a protest against Jammu University for its faulty system with regard to JUET and pattern of re-evaluation, which were  adversely affecting the students.
The NSUI activists and students assembled near main gate of the MAM College and raised slogans against the Jammu University authorities. They were  demanding subject specific entrance test for fresh admissions.
The  protest was led by Anuradha Bhagat,  State vice president of NSUI, who alleged  that many students suffer due to JUET entrance as this test is not based on the subjects which students study in colleges.  “JUET should be subject specific  so that students comfortably get their preferable PG courses others  Science students are getting  admission in Arts stream and Language students are getting  admission in literature,  which is injustice with the admission seekers,” she explained and also  demanded balanced weightage to Academic and 40 JUET marks for admissions.
Nishant Gupta,  State general secretary of NSUI alleged that re-evaluation pattern was also faulty as the students are made to suffer because of  erring teachers engaged for evaluation.
Others, who addressed the protesting students, included Rahul Bhagat, Vikas Badhoria Avjot Singh  and Sunny Parihar.
