NSUI, NDPI observe ‘death anniversary protest’ demanding 4G internet restoration

JAMMU, Aug 4: NSUI here today staged a protest demonstration titled ‘4G Di Barkhi’ against blockage of high-speed 4G internet in J&K for the complete one year.
The protest was held under the leadership of Vikas Badhoria, J&K General Secretary of NSUI.
Speaking on the occasion Badhoria said, when the whole world is fighting deadly COVID-19 pandemic, people of J&K are fighting for the restoration of 4G internet services.
“When the students from all over the country are attending online classes, studying and preparing for the competitive exam on internet, J&K students have to struggle for all this on 2G network,” he further said.
Ajay Lakhotra NSUI activist urged upon the Lt Governor of J&K to restore 4G internet services in J&K soon.
Meanwhile, National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&K UT president, Rajesh Gupta on Tuesday shaved his head in protest demanding restoration of 4G internet services in “peaceful Jammu region”.
Gupta told reporters that he shaved his head in protest observing the 1st death anniversary of 4G internet services in J&K as the same have been banned by the authorities from the last one year.
He also said that students, those who are applying for procurement of domicile certificates online, businessmen, professionals and many others are suffering in the absence of 4G internet services.
