JAMMU, Oct 7: NSUI  today  accused the Jammu University administration of adopting vindictive approach towards the students who raise voice against dictatorial policies of the persons at the helm of affairs.
Talking to media persons, here today, NSUI State president Neeraj Kundan drew attention towards the case of  Sunny Parihar, an elected Class Representative of  the Department of Life Long Learning in JU, who has approached the court for free and fair elections of Jammu University Students Union (JUSU).
“Now JU is harassing Sunny Parihar because of his being petitioner in the case for free  and fair election and this was the reason that the University election commission also rejected his nomination for the post of Secretary on flimsy grounds,” he said and added that when the aggrieved student   again moved the court, which directed JU to allow him to contest election,  the university postponed election for the particular post instead of compliance to the direction.
The NSUI leader termed the JU action as contempt of court and  appealed the Chancellor for his personal intervention to check the dictatorial and anti-students policies of the university administration. He also threatened a mass agitation  against the JU administration if NSUI does not get justice.
Amjad Bhat,  State vice president of NSUI and Nishant,  State secretary, were also present in the press conference.
