JAMMU, Sept 25: NSS Foundation Day was celebrated with zeal and fervour.
NSS Unit of the Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi celebrated NSS Foundation Day. Principal of the college Prof Kaushal Samotra was the chief guest. NSS program Officer, Prof Rajesh Sharma delivered lecture on the goal of NSS and the importance of the emblem. Vote of thanks was presented by Arun Sharma. Later, NSS volunteers also cleaned the college campus.
NSS unit of Government Degree College Thannamandi celebrated NSS Foundation day with zeal and enthusiasm. A series of programmes comprising of poetry recitation, skit on drug abuse, songs, group songs and speeches on the importance of NSS were organized. Dr BB Sharma, Principal of the College stressed upon the students to get enrolled in NSS in large numbers. Earlier, Prof Saleem Ayaz Rather, Programme Officer NSS Unit presented the welcome address. Falak Naz, NSS Volunteer conducted the proceedings of the programme, while as Prof Junaid Jazib, HoD EVS presented vote of thanks
NSS Unit of GGM Science College, Jammu celebrated NSS Foundation Day.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dr Nutan Kumar Resutra, Nodal Principal, Jammu Division Colleges while the function was organized under the supervision of Dr Rajinder Singh, NSS Programme Officer.
A large number of NSS volunteers attended the function during which the programme officer gave details of aims and objectives of this scheme and the activities being undertaken by the Units.
A Power Point Presentation highlighting the activities of NSS volunteers was also made on this occasion.
The programme was anchored by senior NSS volunteer Richa Sharma.
