JAMMU, Sept 25: MetLife has settled two claims within 24 hours of receiving the intimation in Ramban and Ganderbal districts of the Jammu and Kashmir regions of the State.
As per a release, the metlife has set up a dedicated claim processing camps in the Valley to support disaster victims with J&K Bank. In response to the floods in the Valley, MetLife has established these special camps to ensure faster and hassle free claim settlement. The claim process is much simplified and requires minimal documentation for the customers, the release added.
It said the company has obtained a special approval from the regulator to offer a six month grace period for existing policy holders to pay their premiums.

In this hour of need, we are committed to helping and supporting our customers, employees and the local community. We are relieved to share that a;; our employess are now safe. For our customer, we have simplified our claim processing and set up camps across the State and have a dedicated helpline for them as well. We are also providing our customers with a six month grace period for due premium payment’’ .
He said “we have also set up a panel doctors with our partners health India and Mera Doctor to help out customers and employees. These doctors will be based out Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab, Mumbai and NCR and will be to assist over the phone’’.
It said more claim camps will be set up in Kashmir as soon as water recedes.
