NSK to establish mega center for Yoga, Naturopathy at village Khoon

UDHAMPUR, May 9: Narsingh Sewa Kendra (NSK) is going to establish a mega center for Yoga and Naturopathy and Gaushala at village Khoon of Udhampur district.
Spread over 100 kanals of land at a picturesque location in Khoon (Majalta), this project will be first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir in which mainly three kinds of activities shall be undertaken– establishment of Yoga & Naturopathy Center, Natural/organic farming center and Gaushalla for breeding of indigenous breed of cows.
Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for the establishment of this mega center will take place from 8 AM onwards on 11th May. The ceremony will be attended by galaxy of people drawn from all walks of life.
Today, a meeting of the committee members of Narsingh Sewa Kendra and other prominent locals under the chairmanship of Vikram Gujral was held in village Khoon to discuss about the project and arrangement details of the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony.
The project will be of immense benefit to the people residing in the neighbouring villages. The potential of Indian cow rearing is immense and the Sewa Kendra will provide quality indigenous cows to the neighbouring villages, which will enhance milk production, ‘desi’ manure production and cow panchgavya products. A collection centre for cow products will also be established for the economic benefit of people residing in the neighbouring villages.
Apart from this, a farmer training center will be established under this project, in which the farmers will be given training to get maximum economic benefit by adopting organic farming and processing.
The third major activity in this project will be of Yoga and Naturopathy. Naturopathy is a very beneficial practice for prevention and cure of diseases without medication. The center will organize yoga training camps by qualified yoga teachers. Naturopathy treatment camps will also be organized for general public from time to time.
