JAMMU, Apr 2: National Secular Forum activists today staged demonstration on the Jammu University campus in protest against alleged failure of JU Works Department in providing services in the university.
The protesting NSF activists forced their entry in the office of the Works Department and raised slogans against the concerned officers.
Addressing the protesters, NSF leader Sukhdev Singh, alleged that quality of sanitation and cleanliness was very poor in the hostels due to blocking of drainages, leakage of tapes, walls, roofs and apathetic condition of toilets etc. Holding the Works Department responsible for the mess, he also accused the JU authorities for doing nothing to check the corrupt practices of by the Engineers.
The protesters also sought intervention of Governor to save the University from clutches of corrupt officials and Engineers.
The protesters included Mohd Maqeem, Barket Ali, Kamaldeep Singh, Jakar, Zamer, Pushpinder Singh, Rishikesh Rana, Bupinder Singh, Pardeep, Aryeen, and others.
