NSF demands more SSRB counters for collection of forms

JAMMU, Feb 8: National Secular Forum (NSF) has demanded more collection centres by Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) for accepting the forms from the candidates for various division cadre posts.
In a statement, the NSF president Dr Vikas Sharma said that the candidates coming from far flung areas for submitting the application forms have to wait for hours together due to heavy rush at SSRB office. He appealed the Chief Minister to intervene into the matter and direct the SSRB to solve the problem being faced by the candidates in depositing their forms.
Alleging that SSRB has failed in overcoming the problem of huge rush of the candidates, he alleged that politics was being played against Jammu region and its candidates. The NSF leader said district cadre posts for Jammu are 133, Poonch 53 and Udhampur 62 whereas in Kashmir region, 324 district cadre posts are meant for Srinagar only where as for Baramulla and Kupwara 130 and 93 posts have been created respectively. He added that for division cadre posts Kashmir has been provide with 627 vacancies where as only 345 division cadre posts are kept for Jammu region.
Among those who were present in the press-conference included, Dr Shafqat Malik, Sukdev Singh, Narinder Singh, Pushpinder Singh, and Dr Hari.
